Kondwani Mubisa is a Project Coordinator at Civil Society Network on Climate Change (CISONECC). Before joining the network, he worked with government of Malawi in the Department of Printing and Publication under the Office of the Vice President and Cabinet. He holds a BSc. in Natural Resources Management obtained from Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR). Mr. Mubisa also worked with World Vision Malawi as an intern.
His tasks revolved around providing programmatic support to a variety of projects including on food and nutrition security, resilience building, child protection, child education rights and WASH. He also had a short experience working with Karonga District Agriculture Development Office in the Land Resource Department. He joined CISONECC in 2019 as an Intern. His work was to provide support in the implementation of various projects including the “women in resilience building” project funded by New Partnership for African Development (NEPAD).
His work later earned him a more challenging role of serving as Malawi’s Platform Volunteer for African Coalition for Sustainable Energy and Access (ACSEA), a thematic unit under Pan African Climate Justice Alliance (PACJA) to which CISONECC is an affiliate. Mr. Mubisa further worked as interim M&E Officer under the Climate Challenge Programme Malawi – Climate Justice Advocacy (CCPM-CJAP) project. He is currently working as a Project Coordinator managing two projects – a European Commission funded project on Building climate resilient communities around wildlife protected areas and a German Watch funded project on Green Climate Fund Civil Society Organization Readiness (GCF-CSO Readiness) Project. He further provides general programmatic support across all projects under the network in areas of advocacy, policy research, networking, resource mobilization, coordination, Monitoring, evaluation and learning.
