Walusungu Kaponda is a dedicated finance professional who graduated with bachelor’s degree in accounting from MAGU University in 2020. He joined the network on an internship program and he was since recommended to work as a full time employee in July 2020. He has now worked with the network for over 4 years running projects funded by SCIAF, CARE Germany, European Commission, Trocaire, CARE Malawi, Christian Aid, Concern Worldwide, Irish Aid, Save the Children
and many more. He has a thorough understanding of financial reporting and analysis, project budget development, and close out planning for projects. He has a broad knowledge of budget planning and management, cash -flow forecasting, and fund accounting of the organizations. He has capability of developing internal controls and ensures that they are fully abided to, which increase efficiency and enhance accuracy within an organisation.
